Growing up in a family-run restaurant that my maternal Grandfather founded over 30 years ago has given me ample content and inspiration to draw from. I hadn't realized how many others could relate to these stories. Creating this one comic was actually very time consuming as I had to consider what I wanted to write, where I wanted to place my text, and illustrating each section. This is a simple comic because there are no environmental backgrounds and my characters' movements don't really show movement. It really makes you appreciate the complex graphic novels that other artists create for a living. Don't think that their comic is worth $20? I would beg to differ.
